How to Rock LinkedIn's Algorithm in 2021
LinkedIn is one of the most essential social platforms for many professionals and digital marketers, according to what we know so far. It's a unique method to meet new people, collaborate on business, show off products and services, and so on. LinkedIn keeps track of your relationships in a list called My Network. When you create a new connection, you receive access to either that person's profile, but also to their publicly visible connections.
Engagement on LinkedIn is important, just like it is on any other social platform. We want our postings to be seen by as many people as possible, and we want as many people to participate with them as possible. Now the question is, how can we rock the LinkedIn algorithms? For that, we have to understand the algorithm first.
1. Try to make useful posts and make your posts informative for your readers
Basically, They can categorize your information into three different categories.
- Spam
- Low Quality
- Clear
Once the bots have categorized your post, they send it to your audience to see how popular the content is. At first, they show it to a smaller group of people. After checking your post’s credibility, the LinkedIn algorithm also determines its usefulness and relevance. To avoid spam flags, don't post anything irrelevant.
2. Think about when you're going to post
Decide when the best moment to post is. It's not that hard to find out. It's all about figuring out when your connections are most likely to be online so they can respond to your posts. Once you've decided what you want to share on LinkedIn, you'll need to select when to post it for the best results.
Best time to post: 8-10am & 5pm Tuesday-Thursday
Most clicks or shares: Tuesdays 11am-12pm
The peak time of use: 12pm & 5-6pm weekdays
The worst time to post: 10pm-6am
3. Optimize your post friendly for mobile reader
Many people use LinkedIn on their phones, so make sure your postings are optimized for mobile reading, with attractive words and photos. Remember that the more engagement you have, the friendlier the algorithm becomes.
4. Learn to use hashtags properly
Hashtags are an excellent way to not only increase your reach but also quickly discover similar information. Invest just a few minutes on this, and you'll see the spark in post engagement. Your hashtags should be professional, smart, and related to the content of the post. To avoid distracting the audience, keep it simple.
5. Expand your network
LinkedIn wants you to post professional-looking, relevant and interesting content. By looking at the profiles of your audience, LinkedIn evaluates the relevancy of your postings. So,
- Participate and contribute to relevant groups, and try to share your content out there
- Try to comment on others' posts and share your opinion about their content. These actions increase your profile reach
